Written with the pro se layperson in mind, our seasoned paralegals have prepared low cost self-help booklets for academic purposes regarding New Jersey litigation procedures. Our booklets are a simple guide to significant parts of litigation in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division and the New Jersey Supreme Court. The booklets contain editable legal forms in Microsoft Word format to practice making and defending against motions, preparing complaints and answers, propounding and responding to discovery demands, making an appeal, and much, much more. You can download the fill-in-the-blank sample form templates right to your computer.

The following is a list of the pro se self-help booklets we currently have available. The cost is $29.95 for each booklet or $99.00 for a copy of all of them. Summary Judgment: This booklet contains an in-depth discussion of New Jersey summary judgment procedures. It contains sample forms for presenting a motion for summary judgment, a cross-motion for summary judgment or a response to a motion for summary judgment. The forms included are several different Notices of Motion, Affidavits, Statement of Material Facts, Certification of Service, Proposed Orders and Letter Briefs. The Appendix to the booklet contains a copy of the most relevant caselaws and court rules.

Discovery Demands and Related Motions: This booklet contains an in-depth discussion of propounding and responding to discovery demands and making and defending against motions to strike a pleading for failure to provide discovery and motions to compel the production of discovery. This booklet contains sample forms for propouding interrogatories, requests for admissions, notices to produce documents and things, subpoenas to produce documents and things from non-parties and notices to depose. The Appendix to the booklet contains a copy of the most relevant caselaws and court rules.

Initial Pleadings: This booklet contains an in-depth discussion on preparing and filing Complaints, Answers, Cross-Claims, Counterclaims and Third-Party Claims, as well as detailed information on affirmative defenses, service of process, time limitations, legal technicalities, orders to show cause, motions to dismiss for failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted and motions for a more definitive statement and the like. Sample forms of these kinds of legal documents are provided in each packet along with a copy of all material court rules and caselaws.

General Motion Practice. This booklet focuses exclusively upon New Jersey motion practice. It cites and explains all of the relevant court rules and provides step-by-step instructions for preparing and defending against basic motions, such as motions for default judgment, motions to vacate default judgment, motions for change of venue, motions to reduce alimony or child support and many more. This booklet discusses the relevant caselaws and court rules and provides editable legal forms, including varying types of notices of motion, affidavits, certifications, proposed orders, certifications of service and exhibit dividers

Pro-Se Litigation: This booklet is the bible for pro se litigation. It contains information as to how to sign in at court, where to sit, who to talk to, addressing the court, getting the court to sympathize with you, dealing with aggressive counsel, being persuasive, how to counter the fact that "he who represents himself has a fool for a client" and how to deal with awkward situations such as where a court requires a self-represented person to ask themselves questions while on the stand in lieu or allowing him or her to testify in narrative form (just letting the litigant basically tell his or her story without presenting questions). This must have booklet contains an in-depth legal analysis of the caselaws governing pro se litigation, such as how their submissions should be construed, what leniencies are to be afforded to non-attorneys, etc.

Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division: This booklet contains in-depth information as to how to present an appeal to the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. This booklet covers interrlocutory appeals, appeals as of right, emergent appeals, standards of review, motion practice, operating procedures, appellate oral arguments and a step-by-step guide to preparing an appeal from start-to-finish.
